T6x T61 Mini PCI-E Steckplatz nutzbar ?!

Was muss ich machen das ich den Mini PCI-E Steckplatz nutzen kann ?
Ständig beep das teil nur 2x und nix geht.

Sollte eigentlich in meinen pc kommen nur da mein mobo noch nicht geliefert wurde dachte ich mir da sich es einmal just4fun in mein TP stecken könnte.
Im grossen Slot funktioniert es (klar es ist sehr russisch drinnen) aber im kleinen nicht.

Welchen der 3 meinst du?

Einer ist mit dem WLAN Modul besetzt, einer für das Wireless USB reserviert und einer für WWAN.

Läuft das T61 ohne das Ding?

Klar ich habe habe die W-Lan drinnen.
Dann ist oben rechts der kleine wo normal der leser für die simkarte drinnen ist.
Und links unten ist ja der grosse.

Though the slot is MiniPCIe in form factor, it has been crippled to only accept devices with PCI-ID's contained in a BIOS whitelist consisting of the above list of devices (likely not exhaustive and varying depending on the particular system) with the additional requirement that they must carry the Lenovo brand name and consequently cost twice as much. If an unauthorized card is plugged in it gives a 1802 error on initial boot up before it even touches the operating system. The workarounds on the first link concerning MiniPCI devices may or may not be directly applicable to the MiniPCIe slot. Anyone who has added non-Lenovo components to this slot either successfully or unsuccessfully is encouraged to provide any relevant details here.
Hacked BIOS with white list removed

Non-official patched versions of BIOS files are available for X300, X61, X61s, T61, T61p, R61, R61e which remove whitelist restrictions allowing non-lenovo PCI-e devices.. (see forum post: Ultimate R61/T61/X61/X300 BIOS (inc SATA-II)

Der kleine ist wie ich das sehe nur für eine Wireless USB (UWB) Karte.
Für Sim karten gibts ja ne extra Platine die rechts vom kleinen instaliert wird.

Gut ich hab noch nichts Nachgrüste warte aber auf meine Sachen um WWan nachzurüsten.
Aber im Think Pad Wiki steht das das Bios nur bestimmte Karten zuläst die in einer liste gespeichert sind.
Es soll aber auch ein Bios flash geben der das behebt.

Hallo zusammen,

kann ich in meinem T60p eigentlich eine UWB-Mini-PCI-Karte nachrüsten? Hat lenovo im display-rahmen schon eine antenne mit verbaut, weil ein SIM-schlitz ist ja hinterm akku zu sehen?

...weil muss ja sagen, nen thinkpad mit ner wireless-docking-station finden ich um einiges mehr sexy so nach dem motto: "...aber das ist doch gar kein kabel dranne!" "der rote gnubbel, der kann das! "

bin gespannt.

Nachtrag:

also wenn ich das jetzt richtig mitbekommen habe, dann

- bringt UWB bzw WUSB kein fullHD auf den bildschirm, wegen dem datendurchsatz

- ist UWB schon lange in deutschland zugelassen

- UWB konnte sich wegen der mangelnden bandbreite nicht durchsetzt, es wird wieder an WLAN-lösungen gefeilt

- ist nicht in jedem BIOS der entsprechende mit FRU versehende mini-pci-e-karte auf der white-list

wenn noch irgendwer was hinzuzufügen hat, gerne

ohne kabels am laptop... es wär so schön gewesen :huh:
